3535773 - Error in KPI Tile Loading Due to converted date value YYYY-MM-DDT00:00:00.000Z exceeds maxlength

Symptom

KPI tile fails to load because an OData request failed with error message indicating the date value exceeds the defined max length, for example:
Value '2023-01-01T00:00:00.000Z' violates facet information 'maxlength=10'.

The error happens because when the KPI tile sends the OData request the date value in the request (e.g. in the filter) is converted to format YYYY-MM-DDT00:00:00.000Z whereas the data type in the CDS data source is DATS(8).
