3535823 - Unknown Location Notification sent to users when they register. Using clientContext with accounts.finalizeRegistration API

Symptom

  • For users registering via Server Side accounts.register API call, CDC is identifying an IP address of the origin country as an IP from a different country. {For example : IP originating from JP is identified as an IP from the USA}
  • End-users logging in from within the same country receive an Unknown Location Notification email upon their first login.
