3536056 - Processing Status of WBS Element does not follow the Processing Status of the Project

Processing Status of WBS Element is not automatically changed, when reverting the Project Processing Status from 'Completed' to 'Released'.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open app 'Project Control - Enterprise Projects' and search for a project;
2. Navigate to this project and click on Related Apps > Project Planning;
3. Change the Processing Status of the project to Completed. Notice that the lower-level WBS Elements will also have its Status changed;
4. Select the Project and click in Processing Status > Released;
5. Notice that only the project will be reverted to the Released status, while the lower-level WBS Elements will remain as Completed.

This is the expected behavior.

As mentioned in SAP Help Portal, when changing the Processing Status of the Project to Released, the Processing Status of the lower-level WBS Elements will automatically be changed only if they are in the Created status.

Since in the given steps the lower-level WBS Elements have the Completed status, the expected behavior is that only the Project will be reverted to Released.

In order to revert the Processing Status of the lower-level WBS Elements in this situation, it is necessary to select each one of them > click on Processing Status > Released.
