3536173 - Spid did not wake up from sleeping status and was not killed -SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • There is a long-running session like bcp which is stuck in the status 'sleeping' and it is not completing.
  • When checking the stacktrace info of the spid in question, it shows that the spid is stuck at the function 'xls_flush_plcqueue'.
  • The spid in question cannot be killed and it shows as the longest transaction in syslogshold. 
  • The issue happens on the SAP ASE version which contains the fix for CR822492.
