Symptom
- An ASE update to a higher version fails with client terminal message:
/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saphostctrl -user sapadm <pass> -function LiveDatabaseUpdate -dbname SID -dbtype syb -dbinstance SID -updatemethod Execute -updateoption TASKUPDATE_ASE -updateoption DROP_LOCATION="/sapmnt/ASE"
Error: Command execution failed. : Could not identify if system is non - Business Suite or Business Suite. (fault code: 127) - Resolution from this KBA did not work:

Database 'SID' has not been recovered yet - please wait and try again. - Running command directly in the dataserver to access the SID results in error 921:
