3537291 - Email notification for flexible workflow scenario is not being sent

Symptom

  • After configuring an email notification for a flexible workflow (in one of the Manage Workflows apps) to use a custom copied email template (from the Maintain Email Templates app), said email notification is not being sent.
  • In the application log (transaction SLG1) in the backend, an error similar to the following is recorded shortly after the workflow is triggered:
    • "Email template <template name> with language <lang> not found".

  • The error might be generic too as "Error during sending of the E-Mail".

  • With a SWF_TRC trace, more information as "Rendering mail template 'ZZ1/YY1...' failed" is shown.
