3537291 - Email notification for flexible workflow scenario is not being sent

Symptom

After configuring an email notification for a flexible workflow (in one of the Manage Workflows apps) to use a custom copied email template (from the Maintain Email Templates app), said email notification is not being sent.

In the application log (transaction SLG1) in the backend, an error similar to the following is recorded shortly after the workflow is triggered:

"Email template <template name> with language <lang> not found".
