3537661 - Discrepancy in Display of Locked Out Status on New and Old Home Page in SAP SuccessFactors Learning

• When an online content is failed and locks the item, this is not reflected on the new home page.
• Despite being 'Locked Out', the status on the new home page still shows as 'Start Course'.
• On the old home page, the status correctly reflects as 'Locked Out'.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Set the item content to be added to History upon failure >
2. Set the 'Upon Failure Action' option to lock the item >
3. Launch the item as the user and fail the content in the item >
4. The item then becomes locked >
5. However, on the new home page, the user still sees the "Start Course" option >
6. When selecting "Start Course", a message displays: "This Item is invalid for launch" >
7. On the old legacy home page, the item displays as locked out.

The Product Management Team has confirmed that this is the current system design. The locked-out message is not yet implemented on the new learning home page, but it will be added as an improvement in future releases. For now, the expected behavior is that users are not allowed to access the content when it is locked out, and a message is displayed when attempting to open the course.

Even though we have confirmation that this functionality will be addressed in future releases, we strongly suggest that our customers raise an Enhancement Request for better visibility to both our customers and product management.
