Symptom

  • Executing a job in debug mode, an error occurs: "[Amazon][Amazon Redshift] (30) Error occurred while trying to execute a query: [SQLState XX000] ERROR: 1023".
  • The error details indicate a "Serializable isolation violation on table - 3279971, transactions forming the cycle are: 59721174, 59721176, 59721173 (pid:1073783317)".
  • This issue is specific to jobs running in debug mode with bulk load and "Truncate" mode.
