Symptom
The Start Date displayed in onboarding emails may appear in different date formats for different recipients.
For example, some recipients may see the date displayed using a DD/MM/YY format, while others may see a MM/DD/YY format.
This can occur even when the same email template and date token are being used.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Cause
The email's language is determined by the settings within the email template. If there is a specific locale rule defined in the template, the email will follow that rule. If not, it will default to the company's primary language setting.
Resolution
In the email template, a Business rule for scenario "Select Email Message Locale" can be configured in "Language Selection Business Rule".
Otherwise, the tokens will behave according to the primary language defined in Settings.
