14. How can the database trace be purged?
Due to the trace file rotation a kind of automatic purge of old files exist. If you want to explicitly purge trace files older than a certain amount of days, you can use SAP HANACleaner (SAP Note 2399996) or perform manual cleanup on file system level or via ALTER SYSTEM REMOVE TRACES.

However sometimes customers need to delete old trace manually without HANACleaner.
