3538514 - Error when adding planning mark and reporting point in Operation of Bill Of Operations

Symptom

  • When editing the Production Bill Of Operation, 500 error occurs while adding a planning mark and reporting point under required operation.
  • The system displays the error message: "500 SAP Internal Server Error".
  • This issue prevents it from editing Bill of operation and impacts the normal production progress.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Planning and Production master data work center.
  2. Go to the Bill of Operations view and find required BOO ID.
  3. Select relevant operation and choose Insert.
  4. Mark the checkboxes for Planning mark and Reporting point.
  5. The system throws an error.

Cause

There is a synchronization issue between the planning view of the Bill of Operations and the Bill of Operations hierarchy.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Planning and Production master data work center.
  2. Find the required Bill of Operations and edit it.
  3. Go to the Planning View Tab.
  4. Choose "Update planning view button" for synchronization.
  5. Save and Close, then reopen the Bill of Operation.
  6. Go to the Structure and select relevant operation
  7. Choose insert and mark the checkboxes for Planning mark and Reporting point.
  8. System updates the changes.
  9. Save and close the BOO.
