3538679 - Candidate Initiated from RCM Generates 2 Process ID - Onboarding

Symptom

  • Candidate initiated from RCM have 2 Process ID
  • The other process ID may be unsuccessful with BP To Do error
  • Candidate was initiated only once if checked from Audit Trail

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Initiate candidate from RCM
  2. Check Manage Data > Process or Process Trigger
  3. There will be 2 process tied to the user of the candidate
  4. Filter the unsuccessful (if there is any) process ID from the BPE Monitor Process.
  5. Observe that from the variables  - After Create External User and ONB objects it went through Save HRIS Data For User

Cause

This is very rare scenario occurs when the Recruiting operator might have tried the Batch operation followed by the Synchronous action which results in generating 2 onb events.

Resolution

RCM Engineering team is already aware of this issue and is still being investigated for future fix considering cross-module impacts.

Workaround 

  • Cancel the unsuccessful trigger upon initiation and proceed with the successful one.
