3539202 - WM/IM posting results in error related to Material Locking

Symptom

  • In the process of executing a material transfer using transaction codes LT01/LT10 or similar, the transfer only performs bin to bin within WM and not Storage Location (SLOC to SLOC) as per SLOC Control.
  • This often occurs when the Material Master (MM02) is open during the time of transfer.
  • Often no error message is displayed to the user, leading to incorrect movements.
  • In other cases errors such as M3897 is displayed.
  • Error M3897 : "The plant data of the material & is locked by the user &"
