3539355 - User was Wrongly Accepted as New Hire that has an Existing Record Already in EC - Onboarding

• The recruiter has accidentally selected "Proceed as New Hire" for a candidate who already has an existing record in Employee Central (EC)
• During the "Manage Pending Hires" process, the candidate cannot be hired

The issue is not reproducible as it is a result of an accidental action during the onboarding process.

The issue arose due to the candidate being wrongly accepted as a new hire

Option 1:

1. Terminate the reactivated user and make this wrong profile inactive again
2. Trigger a new onboarding process for the new hire
3. In the Rehire Verification (Employment Profile Selection) task, ensure not to click on the "Proceed as New Hire" button, and select the correct rehire type option.
    

Option 2:

1. Terminate the reactivated user and make the wrong profile inactive again
2. Add the new hire directly into the system by the EC tool "Add New Employee."

Above are the only options you can use to mitigate the wrong scenario.
