3539424 - Error ME066 During Purchase Requisition Creation with Custom Account Assignment Category and Item Category E in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

An error message "Combination item category E/account assignment category X not defined" is encountered when creating a Purchase Requisition with item category E and a custom account assignment category.

The combination of item category E/account assignment category X has been defined in SSCUI 101655.

Reproducing the Issue

The issue can be reproduced by attempting to create a PR in the app My Purchase Requisitions with item category E and a custom account assignment category.

Cause

The Enhanced Limit item category only supports limited account assignment categories.

Resolution

The account assignment categories supported by the item category E are:

  1. C (sales order)
  2. K (cost center)
  3. P (project)
  4. S (third-party project)
  5. U (unknown)
  6. N (network)
  7. A (asset)
  8. F (order)
