Error Message "Enter a valid email address" when Updating Email Address field.

• Contact Information

1. Navigate to Contact Information Portlet
2. Add a username or any other word in email address field
3. When saving it the message pops up "Enter a valid email address"
   
   

• The error message "Enter a valid email address" occurs when an invalid format is entered in the Email Address field, such as using a username or any other non-email word. Email addresses must adhere to standard email formatting rules.
  
  
• Starting 2H 2024, the "Activate Email Validation in Scorecard" switch was universally enabled and can no longer be disabled within the Company System and Logo Settings. Previously, this option was off by default, and administrators had to manually enable it to validate email addresses.
  
  
• With this update, email addresses in Employee Central are now validated by default, ensuring improved data quality by preventing invalid entries.

• Since 2H 2024, the option "Activate Email Validation in Scorecard" has been removed from the Company System and Logo Settings page and cannot be disabled. Consequently, each time an email address is updated in Employee Central, its format is automatically validated.
  
  
• To avoid validation errors, users must ensure that they enter properly formatted email addresses in the Email Address field.

 Previous Workaround Information:  Earlier versions allowed for a temporary bypass of the validation via backend support. This workaround is no longer available, as it was deprecated in version b2505.  Users who were accustomed to entering non-standard formats in this field must now review and modify their entries to comply with the new validation requirements.
