3539694 - Admin E-Signature PIN is requested by the system when trying to record completion for a class

Symptom

Admin is requested to enter e-signature PIN when trying to record completion on a class despite e-signature not being enabled on the parent item.  

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Class > Actions > Add To Learning History
  2. Check the list of the users > select Continue
  3. The system requests an admin e-signature PIN even though e-signature is not enabled on the parent item

Cause

Curricula has e-signature enabled.

Resolution

As per Product Management the code logic triggers the system to request an admin e-signature PIN based on the combination of two configurations:

  1. Completion status has e-signature enabled

    AND

  2. Item has e-signature enabled OR user curricula has e-signature enabled

If a registered user has the item assigned as part of a curriculum which has e-signature enabled, this triggers the requirement for an admin e-signature PIN to be entered even if the item does not have e-signature enabled.
