3540516 - Error during Benefit Enrollment Import in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Symptom

When trying to import Benefit enrollment the error "This benefit is integrated with payroll but the current period compensation information for the user does not exist. Please contact your admin." is faced. 

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite 
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to "Import and Export Data"
  2. Select "Import", then choose the ZIP file for import.
  3. Click on "import" and then "View Result"
  4. The response shows the error  "This benefit is integrated with payroll but the current period compensation information for the user does not exist. Please contact your admin."

Cause

For some users, there are already existing enrolment records for the mentioned benefit

In the import file, the enrollment record's effective date is prior to those enrollment records that already exist in the system

Currently this is not supported to create an enrollment record prior to the already existing one. 

Resolution

In order to proceed you will need to delete the existing enrollments for these users and the related Pay component entries in the compensation.

After that you can proceed with the import of all the needed enrollment records.
