Symptom
- In the process of triggering Compensation Worksheets, it was observed that only the first line form was triggered and not all forms in the hierarchy.
- For few managers its working, for few it doesn't.
- Employees are eligible and eligibility rule is correctly running.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Compensation > Compensation > Forms & Templates
Reproducing the Issue
- Launch the Compensation Worksheets.
- Observe that only the first line form is triggered and not all forms in the hierarchy.
- Define planners is not working
Cause
1. Break in hierarchy.
2. Blank in manager field, NO_MANAGER written in top manager in second manager hierarchy.
3. Since define planners is not working , eligibility rule is not checked whether the employee is actually eligible.
Resolution
Whenever you see the worksheet not launching, you can check few things before opening a support ticket.
1. Are you sure the employees are eligible? if they are coming under define planners then perfect, if not, download the ineligible user excel file from define planners section (troubleshoot dropdown). If employee is searched does he come up? If no then he is eligible.
2. If its second manager hierarchy, you have to check for cyclic hierarchy, you can make use of check tool - Compensation & Variable Pay - Check tool - SAP for Me
for more: . - Worksheet Design - Plan Setup Define Planners - Compensation - SAP for Me
Please note: when worksheet doesn't launch it will be always related to either eligibility or issue in hierarchy. Its very rare the issue will be different. So make sure you check these 2 thoroughly from your end as you would know the hierarchy much better than the engineer assigned, it will save alot of time for us if you have already checked and found nothing so we can directly investigate on the missing end rather than checking the above steps again.
