3540780 - Escaping hash symbol in SAP Commerce Cloud properties

Symptom

  • The hash symbol (#) in property value cannot be correctly escaped using two backslash characters in SAP Commerce Cloud properties.
  • This issue is observed when storing a key-value pair containing a hash symbol in service properties in the Cloud Portal.
  • The hash symbol and the characters following it are filtered out, causing the key-value pair to not show up properly in Commerce application.
