3541014 - Approval button unavailable in Workflow Details page for delegation from secondary to primary employment (or vice-versa) - Employee Central

• The approval button does not appear when the delegatee employee opens the Workflow Details Page.
• The workflow has been delegated from secondary employment to primary employment (or vice-versa) in the context of Concurrent Employment.

1. Make sure you have a business rule which triggers a workflow for an employee with multiple employments
2. Setup an Auto Delegation for workflow from the employee's primary employment to the second employment (or vice-versa)
3. Make changes to trigger the workflow
4. Proxy as employee's primary employment or second employment, depending on your logic
5. Only "Decline Delegation" button is available at the bottom of the Workflow Details page

If you trigger workflow for e.g. employee's primary employment, then proxy as second employment and goes to the same workflow, you'll see that "Decline Delegation" button is also the only option at the bottom of the Workflow Details page.

So, Auto Delegation from Primary Employment to Secondary Employment is not recognized by system, and that's the reason it does not allow approval.

It also does not run if you try to manual delegate from Primary Employment to Secondary Employment (or vice-versa).

Instead of having a workflow with an employee with multiple employments as approval and setting up an Auto Delegation from the employee's primary employment to the second employment (or vice-versa), you can:

• Substitute employee with multiple employments from workflow configuration for another employee with no multiple employments, then delegate this workflow to whichever employment you want, or Primary Employment or Concurrent Employment (secondary).
