3542470 - Error FAA_POST516 during Asset Postings in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

An error message FAA_POST516 is encountered during the Asset Postings migration in the Data Migration Cockpit (DMC) application.

"Enter opening balance for quantit. w/o 'Seq. No. of Asset Line Items in FY'".

The issue arises due to the use of the same sequence number for the starting quantity for additional line items. The system does not allow this. The posting of the opening balance for quantities is a special posting, and it is not allowed to assign any transaction items to this transaction header. Therefore, the field "Run. Sequence No. of Asset Line Items in FY" must stay empty.

1. Check the data entered and ensure that no transaction items are assigned to the transaction header of the opening balance for quantities.
2. Use a second sequence number for the additional line items on the posting.
