3543318 - At Home Page Queries Are Not Available Under Custom Card Creation

Symptom

You have created queries as administrator in Adaptation and assigned it to respective business roles and page layouts. Nevertheless most of the queries are not visible in the homepage card creator.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to home page.
  2. Try to create a custom card.
  3. Notice that there are queries missing from "Query" field.

Cause

The query is being controlled by page layout, not the master layout, this is currently a limitation for page layout scenarios.

  • Note: You can't see the hidden queries from the master layout in the dropdown.
  • Restriction: You can't see any queries from the page layout.

Resolution

There are a few options to work around with:

  1. Make sure to not assign any page layout to the business role and let all the queries be visible.
  2. On homepage screen, create a quick link tile, with any query created by a key user. The quick link tile will be created on homepage.
  3. If desired, you can apply the page layout for the business role and hide the query based on that. Homepage tile should still be available for usage after performing this change.
