Symptom
Leads have Surveys attached to it. When opening a Survey from a Lead and starting to fill it out, if the user wishes to return to the Lead (another tab), the Survey is closed and no information is saved.
The expected scenario is to allow the users to navigate between the Survey and the Lead's tabs, without the Survey closing automatically.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Sales > Leads.
- Open the desired Lead.
- Click on Surveys tab.
- Click on the Survey ID.
- Answer something in the answer fields but don't click on Save.
- Now go back to the Lead and click on any other facet (for example, 'Notes').
- See the Survey is closed automatically.
Users can't check the Lead information when answering the Survey.
Cause
The system was designed to close survey tabs when a Visit/Lead is closed to ensure that surveys linked to a specific consumer are closed when switching or closing tabs. This is particularly important when the same survey is associated with multiple Visits/Leads.
Although each survey generated is unique to a Lead, the UI only displays the survey name. As a result, if multiple surveys are opened from different Leads, users may not be able to distinguish which survey corresponds to which Lead.
Resolution
This is the expected system behavior.
