Symptom
After enabling TM integration for LE outbound and inbound deliveries that had already been set to integrate with EWM, the Transportation Planning Type defaults to 'C' for EWM outbound/inbound delivery processing. Even after maintaining the SPRO settings as follows to consider EWM status, it is not working and persisting in using 'C'. Due to this, the goods movement process in EWM side is prevented.
- SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> SCM Extended Warehouse Management -> Extended Warehouse Management -> Goods Issue Process -> Outbound Delivery -> Integration for Transportation Planning -> Define Transportation Planning Type (Outbound)
- SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> SCM Extended Warehouse Management -> Extended Warehouse Management -> Goods Receipt Process -> Inbound Delivery -> Integration for Transportation Planning -> Define Transportation Planning Type (Inbound)
However, the implementation project does not intend to use the direct TM-EWM integration yet, or due to some limitations, it cannot be implemented (e.g.: SAP Knowledge Base Article 3453866).
How to influence the Transportation Planning Type determination in EWM delivery processing to avoid using 'C' as default?
