Symptom
- There's one string type dimension from the data source.
- Map it to existing model and the target dimension is Date type, map it via "Map By ID"
- Mapping failed with:
Import to model ended unexpectedly. Error code: 1020
Environment
SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2024.21.8
Reproducing the Issue
- Logon to SAC tenant and open an imported model.
- Create a new draft file and start mapping.
- Find the string type dimension in datasource and map it to the date type dimension in the model.
- Select May By ID during the mapping.
- Data mapping failed with error:
Import to model ended unexpectedly. Error code: 1020
Cause
This issue is judged as a system bug.
Resolution
This issue is fixed after 8th Jan 2025.
