3545244 - Default length of Business Partner 'Name' field 

Symptom

Limitation on the length of the business partner 'name' field.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

Go to the 'Manage Business Partner Master Data' app.
Open any business partner.
Enter a the name of the business partner with more than 40 characters.

The name with a length of 40 characters appears on the screen, and the remaining characters are truncated.

Resolution

There’s a limitation to the field 'name', it should not exceed more than 40 characters.

Recommend to create a meaningful abbreviation for the field name, with equal to or less than 40 characters.
