3545459 - Unexpected Increase in Profiles with Change in Retention Rule Duration in SAP Customer Data Platform

• An issue was encountered while configuring a retention rule in SAP Customer Data Platform.
• The rule was initially set to include profiles with criteria AND 3 months from Last Update, with a total of XY profiles.
• When the retention period was updated to 6 months, the number of profiles unexpectedly increased to XYZ, contrary to the expectation of fewer profiles.
• The same issue was observed when two rules were set up: one for 6 months and another for 3 months since the last update. Despite the expectation that Rule 2 (3 months) should contain more profiles than Rule 1 (6 months), Rule 1 had XY profiles while Rule 2 had 0.
