3545614 - Users that don't have 'Learning Admin Access Permission' can access 'Learning Administration' through ILX

Symptom

At the New Learning Experience landing page, users who have a related Learning administrator account are now seeing an option to navigate to Learning Administration, even when the Platform permission 'Learning Admin Access Permission' is not provided to them.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into HCM > make sure the user doesn't has the Platform permission 'Learning Admin Access Permission' >
  2. Navigate to the Learning module to land on the New Learning Experience homepage >
  3. At the Activities menu dropdown, notice that the users have the option 'Learning Administration' >
  4. Clicking on it, the user can successfully navigate to the Learning Admin side.

Resolution

As per our Engineering team, this behavior is currently expected. More details on it can be found at the KBA 3563064 - Access to the Learning Administration via ILX without the "Learning Admin Access Permission".

Alternatively, to have a different system behavior, it would be possible to have an enhancement request created for it (as per KBA 2090228), where the Learning Product Management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release.

Workaround:

  1. At Learning Administration > System Administration > Security > Administrators >
  2. Search for the affected user > open the admin's record in the edit mode >
  3. Delete the value from the 'Related User' field > Apply Changes.
