3546432 - RFC ERROR: logon data container length XX is longer than target buffer length XX

Symptom

At the application using the JCo library, the following error message is observed:

com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (102) JCO_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Initialization of destination XXXX failed: connection already closed

At the ABAP end, the following entries are seen at the dev_rfcXX trace file:

RFC ERROR: logon data container length XX is longer than target buffer length XX
