Symptom
- The system is not proposing expected day as a shipment day for any order and ignores it.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Outbound Logistics control work center
- Go to Customer Demand view
- Find required Sales Order ID
- Under Schedule lines, observe that the delivery date is and the shipment date is incorrect.
Cause
Since question "Do you want to receive availability confirmations for products at the start of the 24 hour cycle?" is scoped. The issue arises due to the configuration to receive availability confirmations for products at the start of the 24-hour cycle. The ATP check works based on this cycle. If the product is available at any time within this cycle, the ATP check returns the Confirmation Date Time, which is the Date Time of either the start of the cycle or the end of the cycle, based on the scoping. This is causing the system to propose a delivery date one day before the Released Receipt's Delivery Date and calculating dates accordingly.
Resolution
- Navigate to Business Configuration work center
- Go to the Implementation Projects view
- Select the First Implementation or relevant Implementation Project
- Choose Edit Project Scope
- Navigate to Step 4 Questions
- Expand "Supply Chain Planning and Control"
- Expand "Demand Management and Order Confirmation"
- Select "Product Availability Check"
- On the right plane under Questions for Product Availability Check, under Group: Availability Check Scope for Standard Products and Spare Parts, de-scope the question "Do you want to receive availability confirmations for products at the start of the 24 hour cycle?"
- Once this is done, check the schedule lines again.
