3546774 - Bonus Play Eligibility Rule not available

Symptom

Bonus Play Eligibility Rule is not displayed at the Bonus Plan dropdown.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation
  • SAP SuccessFactors Variable Pay

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Admin Center > Compensation Home
  2. Select the affected Variable Pay template > Plan Setup
  3. Manage Plan Details > Bonus Plans
  4. Choose the Bonus Plan > Under 'Eligibility Rule' click at the dropdown and the rule is not displayed

Cause

Under Plan Setup > Settings > Employee Central Settings, customer have selected "Run Bonus Calculation by non-Employee Central eligibility rules" set as "Yes".

This is the rule scenario behavior:

  • Define Eligibility Rule for Compensation Planning: Rules created with this scenario will be available for Compensation plan eligibility rules and in the Variable Pay plan will be available in "Manager Form Eligibility Rules"
  • Define Eligibility Rule for Variable Pay Planning: Rules created with this scenario will only work for employee history eligibility.
    • You can select it under: Plan Setup > Settings > Employee Central Settings > "Eligibility Rule for Employee History Records" and "Select global eligibility rule". Also found in Manage Plan Details > Bonus Plans > Open bonus plan and select dropdown for "Employee Central Eligibility Rule"

Resolution

Please note that for Bonus Plans, rules created with this scenario will only be available if "Run Bonus Calculation by non-Employee Central eligibility rules" is set to "No". You can select it under:

  1. Employee Central settings > Define Background Element-Based Bonus Plan Eligibility Rules for Variable Pay Planning
  2. Rules created on this scenarios will be available in the drop down "Eligibility Rule" for bonus plans only if "Use a MDF rule instead of an imported eligibility rule" is set to "Yes" in the settings page of the program.
