3546850 - SAP Cloud Connector - High availability setup failure with error "request https://xxx:8443/ failed with 401"

Symptom

  • The setup of High Availability (HA) configuration between the master instance and shadow instance.
  • The error message "Connection failure most likely caused by authentication issues — check user and password" is displayed, even when the correct credentials are used.
  • The logs on the cloud connector instance display the following warning: "Failure in handshakecom.sap.scc.ha.HaHttpClientException: request https://xxx:8443/ failed with 401 ()".
