Symptom
When creating a Consignment Issue order (order type CCIS), the order quantity is totally confirmed, even though there is no sufficient consignment stock for the customer.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Cause
The requirement type set for the material implies on which stock it will be confirmed from. If the material is confirmed and the consignment stock doesn't have sufficient stock, then the requirement type is pointing to other type of stock.
On the requirement class assigned to the requirement type, it's possible to check the attribute 'Special Stock', that defines which stock the material will be checked on.
Resolution
For the consignment stock to be considered, the attribute 'Special Stock' on the requirement class should contain the value 'Customer Consignment (W)'.
The requirement type determination can be configured on the activity 'Determine Requirement Type by Item Category and MRP Type' (ID: 105120). It's possible to determine if the 'Material master strategy' will interfere on the requirement type determination or not. The 'Material master strategy' can be configured on the MRP 3 tab of the Material Master.
