3547325 - Error "Bad SAC request by updateContent.Forbidden" when saving or deploying in SAP Datasphere

Symptom

  • An error occurs when attempting to deploy or save any object in SAP Datasphere:
    Model Could not be wanted. "message": "Bad SAC request by updateContent.Forbidden"
    Model could not be deployed.  "message" "Bad SAC request by updateContent.Forbidden
  • The issue persists across all SAP Datasphere spaces and with any object that requires modifications.
  • The user has verified that they possess all necessary permissions to perform these actions.

Environment

SAP Datasphere Wave 2024.25

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Work on any SAP Datasphere object.
  2. Click on the Deploy or Save button located on the top left.
  3. Encounter the error.

Resolution

  • Our Development team is actively addressing the issue and working diligently towards implementing a solution.
  • The fix will be deployed in the first week of January.
  • A workaround would be to reduce the number of scoped roles and scopes the user is assigned to.
  • If there is an issue when creating DB Analysis user or reset passwords for such users/groups, a workaround here is to create a new user with only DW Administrator role and log in with this user to access these functionalities.
