3547884 - Non direct reporter's time sheets are shown in Time Sheet Approval Center

Symptom

In Time Sheet Approval Center, it is noticed that the time sheets of non-direct reporters are listed too.

Cause

The user has been assigned with the RBP permission to access the time sheet of the employee, even though this employee is not the user's direct reporter.

The Time Sheet Approval Center will display all the non-approved time sheets of the past 3 months, as long as the log on user can access the employee's time sheet based on RBP configuration.

Time Sheet Approval Center itself does not control or restrict the accessibility to time sheets. It respects the same RBP settings as accessing time sheets.

So as long as the user can access someone's time sheet, regardless of the organizational relationship, the user can see this person's time sheet in the Time Sheet Approval Center, when the time sheet is not approved and within the past 3 months.

Resolution

If you want to restrict the Time Sheet Approval Center to display only the time sheets of the direct reporters, it is needed to set target population to direct reporters only in the RBP role where the access to time sheet is granted.

Please pay attention, this setting also affects direct access to time sheets beyond Time Sheet Approval Center.
