Reproducing the Issue
Asset History Sheet app.
Resolution
In order to exclude the asset from your selection you can use the filter "Deactivation on:", go to Define Conditions, there you can set the filter "Deactivation on" to empty and this will exclude assets with a deactivation date, or you can pick some other criteria to suit your individual business needs.
