3548402 - Error on purchase order "Business residence not found; check ship-to or service location"

User face the error "Business residence not found; check ship-to or service location" when creating a new purchase order.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
2. Go to Purchase Orders view.
3. Open the affected purchase order and navigate to the affected item.
4. Change item type from service to material.
5. Click on check, receive the error "Business residence not found; check ship-to or service location".

The account assignment of this item is project task. However the responsible unit of this project is not marked as cost center.

Please mark the responsible unit of the assigned project as cost center.

1. Go to Organizational Management work center.
2. Go to Org Structures view.
3. Enter Edit mode and Locate the affected org unit.
4. Navigate to Definitions tab, under Managerial Definitions, mark the Cost Center definition for the org unit.
5. Activate and save.

Then go back to check, the error will be gone on the purchase order.
