3548608 - The Storage Bin field in the 'Manage Outbound Delivery Orders' app is not updated after Picking task confirmation

Symptom

  • The 'Storage Bin' Field in the 'Manage outbound delivery orders' app does not update after the confirmation of picking tasks for the delivery order at the line item level.
  • The storage bin value appears blank when checked in the line item details after adding the 'Storage Bin' field in the settings.

Environment

  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
  • Fiori UI for EWM (Public Cloud)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Fiori app 'Manage outbound delivery orders'.
  2. Enter the relevant warehouse number and click on GO.
  3. Select any delivery for which the picking is completed.
  4. Open the delivery in detailed view.
  5. Check line item details.
  6. In settings add the field 'Storage Bin' in details.
  7. The storage bin value is blank.

Cause

The fields are only filled when activating the setting for "rough bin determination". However, these fields will not be updated after the picking process in terms of the source storage bin. The destination storage bin is written in the staging area/bay field in the outbound process.

Resolution

  1. Activate the setting for "rough bin determination".
  2. Note that the source storage bin will not be updated after the picking process.
  3. The destination storage bin is written in the staging area/bay field in the outbound process.
  4. The staging area and staging bay information can be obtained by selecting the filter options of item level in the 'Run Outbound Delivery - Deliveries' App or 'Manage Outbound Delivery Orders' app.
