Symptom
- An issue is encountered where a cross-entity rule assigned under compensation info in BCUI, is not triggering during Pay Component Recurring import.
- The rule is expected to update existing pay components.
- The existing business rule is configured with the base object of Compensation Information Model, and hence it cannot be assigned to Pay comp recurring portlet BCUI.
Environment
Import Employee Data (EC Core only)
Reproducing the Issue
- Import Recurring Pay Component (Incremental).
- Rule is not triggering and there is no change on pay components.
Cause
Expected behaviour.
The cross-entity rule will not trigger if the Pay Component Recurring import is using start date and sequence number of an existing comp info record.
Resolution
Cross-entity business rule will only trigger if the Pay Component Recurring import will lead to the creation of a new comp info record.
