3549209 - Incompatibility of SAP Outlook Add-In With New Microsoft Outlook Version

Symptom

Unable to install Outlook add-in on New Microsoft Outlook.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Application and User Management workcenter
  2. Go to Download Center view
  3. Install Outlook Add-in
  4. Go to Microsoft New Outlook version
  5. Notice the add-in is not installed

Cause

Custom Plugin - SAP 'Outlook Add-in' is not supported by New Outlook.

Resolution

The new version of Microsoft Outlook does not support third-party add-ons. This functionality needs to be supported or enabled by Microsoft.
