3549488 - Error during Inbound Task Confirmation: Maximum Quantity Allowed is 0

Symptom

  • During the confirmation of a put away task, an error occurs stating 'maximum quantity allowed is 0'.
  • The error message states: "Line item quantity must not be greater than maximum permitted quantity of 0".

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Inbound Logistics workcenter.
  2. Proceed to the Task Control workcenter.
  3. Select required Put away Task ID and choose confirm.
  4. Enter the quantity for the required line item.
  5. The system throws an error: "Line item must not be greater than maximum permitted quantity of 0 ea".

Cause

  • The issue arises because no quantity/stock for item is being received in the preceding unload task.
  • As a result, while confirming the put away task, the system expects the quantity as 0ea and a deviation reason to be updated as no quantity is being received via preceding unload task in the system.

Resolution

  1. Check the details of preceding unload task.
  2. Confirm the put away task accordingly.
