3549561 - Mandatory Code Error During Deletion of Value in a Field

• An error is reported when attempting to delete the value in a field, like e.g. the contact-e-mail field in account management.
• The error message informs that a code is mandatory, and that it is required to enter the value. Example: ''Recipient code is mandatory, enter the value".

SAP Business ByDesign

Example:

1. Navigate to Account Management.
2. Select Accounts.
3. Select an account.
4. Click on Edit
5. Navigate to the Contacts tab.
6. Select Contact ID.
7. Delete the value in the E-Mail field.
8. Click on Save.
9. The save operation fails. An error like 'Recipient code is mandatory, enter the value' appears.  

This type of error indicates that a customer or partner modification of the SAP standard system is causing an issue.
