3549644 - Creation of Custom Unit of Measure in ByDesign

A custom unit of measure needs to be created in the system.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Product Portfolio Work Center.
2. Select By Materials View.
3. Search for Material ABC (ABC refers to Material ID).
4. Choose the Edit button.
5. Select the Base UoM dropdown.

Expected Unit of Measure is missing.

Follow below given steps to add custom unit of measure to ByDesign system. 

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Select Implementation Projects view.
3. Select the Active Project.
4. Choose Open activity list button.
5. Navigate to Fine Tune tab.
6. Search for the activity "Quantities and Units of Measure" using the filter "All Activities".
7. Choose Open button.
8. Select Create and Maintain Trading Units hyperlink.
9. Click on Add Row.
10. Enter the following details:
    • Unit: Unit must begin with 'Z' followed by 2 characters.
    • UoM symbol: (E.g. H87).
    • Description: (E.g. Piece).
    • Activation status: Released.
    • Define Display Decimals if needed.
11. Select Save and close.
