Symptom
Items that are assigned with a Required Assignment Type are not shown in the Required Learning Section of ILX
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Assign an Item to User with Required Assignment type
- Leave the Required date empty
- Observe how the Required Learning section for the User does not have this Assignment
- Switch to the Legacy Learning page where the Assignment is displayed
- Check if "learningPlanRequiredItemsDisplayThreshold" in USER LEARNING PLAN is configured to any number other than null. This can be found in Learning Administration>System Administration>Configuration>System Configuration
Cause
- This is by system design if the configuration "learningPlanQualItemsAndRequirementsDisplayThreshold=" is set for any number other than null and item due date is beyond the number.
- E.g. If this setting is 90 days, only those Assignments will be displayed in the Required Learning section that have due dates within a 90 day period.
Resolution
The system setting "learningPlanQualItemsAndRequirementsDisplayThreshold" is designed to help Users see what Courses are due in the near future.
Admins can use this property to set a reasonable threshold for items to show up in users' learning home page.
Note: As of 1H2025, required items without due date is not affected by this property and will always appear in Required Learning section.
