3550425 - 2H 2024 - Open Budget or Instructions Panel by Default

This KBA gives an overview about the new functionality Budget or Instructions Panel, introduced on 2H 2024 Release.

To enable this feature go to Compensation Home > select the template > Plan Setup > Display Settings > Search for Default Panel to Open for Worksheet and choose Budget, Instructions or None.  

Some considerations when using this functionality: 

• When selecting Budget, Instructions or none, the configuration will apply only to new forms;
• If you launch a form with budget panel, and after that launch a form with instructions panel, each form will respect the configuration by the time of the launch. The form launched with Budget Panel will show the Budget panel, and the form launched with Instructions Panel will show the Instructions panel;
• When opening Executive Review it will show the panel of the latest form launched. So for example, if the last form launched was with the Instructions Panel, than in Executive Review will appear the Instructions Panel. If the latest form launched was with Budget Panel, than when you open Executive Review it will show the Budget Panel. 
• The Panel works based on the session, so once the panel is closed it will only displays again when logging out of the system and login again. Proxy as another user is not considered logging out of the system. 
• If you do not close the panel and leave the worksheet, when opening another worksheet on the same session the panel will be visible and it will remain open until you close it.
