Symptom

Backup failures occur sporadically in an SAP HANA database configured with CommVault using the Backint interface.

The error logs include:

  • WritePipeChannel issues.
  • Backint process terminated with exit code 2.
  • The network team reports TCP resets and timeout errors during the backup process.
  • Failures are intermittent and unpredictable.
