3550687 - An Error Occurs When Trying to Create a Service Quote with the Reference to a Sales Quote

When trying to create a Service Quote with the Reference to an existing Sales Quote, the data is loaded into the new Service Quote.

Upon saving, an ID appears to be created, but the following error occurs and the Service Quote cannot be saved: 

You are not authorized to change the data

Save failed

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the New Business work center.
2. Select the Service Quotes view.
3. Click on New and select Service Quote.
4. In the New Service Quote, click on the Create with Reference button.
5. In Reference Type, select Quote.
6. In Reference ID, select XYZ (XYZ represents the ID of the Sales Quote).
7. Click on OK.
8. The following errors occur: 
   You are not authorized to change the data
   Save failed.

The error occurs because creating a Service Quote with the Reference to a Sales Quote is currently not supported.

It is also not possible to create a Service Quote as a follow-up document of a Sales Quote via the Follow-Up button.

This is the current system behvaviour.
