3551394 - Unable to change the Responsible Cost Center of a WBS Element in app 'Project Planning'

In a project with profile Project with Revenue, the error 'WBS Element with Responsible Cost Center assigned should have Company Code XXXX' is displayed when changing the Responsible Cost Center of a WBS Element.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open app 'Project Control - Enterprise Projects';
2. Search for a project with the profile Project with Revenue;
3. Click in Related apps > Project Planning;
4. Edit the Project and change the Responsible Cost Center, so that the Company Code is changed as well;
5. Notice that when saving the changes, the message 'WBS Element with Responsible Cost Center assigned should have Company Code XXXX' will be displayed.

There are special rules for projects with profile Projects with Revenue, which takes place due to the billing process related to it.

One of these rules state that, in a Project with Revenue, all WBS Elements must be assigned to the same Company Code.

So, the error message is displayed because it is not possible to have a child WBS Element with a different Company Code from the parent WBS Element/Project.

It is still possible to change the Responsible Cost Center of the project and/or WBS Element, if the new Cost Center is linked to the original Company Code.
