3551410 - Error while migrating the rules from Basic scenario

Symptom

While migrating the Business rule from Basic scenario with base entity rules (e.g. Job information) into model entity rules (e.g. Job Information model), the error "The parameter “XXXX” used in this rule is not a valid parameter of the rule scenario. It could be that the given parameter can’t be used with the specified scenario attributes" is occurring".

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Configure Object definition -> Select any rule with the base object (Job Information/Personal Information/Compensation Information).
  2. Change the scenario from Basic to desired scenario.
  3. Select the base object as "Job Information model/Personal Information model/Compensation Information model".
  4. The error "The parameter “XXXX” used in this rule is not a valid parameter of the rule scenario. It could be that the given parameter can’t be used with the specified scenario attributes" is occurring".

Cause

Currently, there is no functionality to turn base entity rules (e.g. Job information) into model entity rules (e.g. Job Information model). 

Resolution

  • Recreate the rules manually using the model entity and the relevant scenario.
